5 Things You Likely Don’t Know About Me

I was “tagged” by Evan recently in a five-things-you-probably-don’t-know-about-me entry in his blog (and he, in turn, had been “tagged” by Rod), so here goes:

1. I am a strawberry fanatic. Over the past three weeks, I have purchased a four pound container of them from Costco EACH WEEK and have finished each one. When strawberries are out of season, Satsuma oranges tide me over temporarily, but I long for the return of this perfect berry.

2. I have recently started a business creating stationery sets featuring Evan’s photography of the Seattle area – Rockhopper Papers. For the past year and a half I have enjoyed assembling cards and sending them to my friends and family, and when several of these people offered to purchase them, a business was born.

3. My favorite author is the late British writer and philosopher, Iris Murdoch. Over the past six-plus years, I have amassed a collection of her work – first editions, papers, etc. We’ll call it the Dodds Collection.

4. While my readers know that I am expecting a baby in July, what they may not know is that I have been hit hard with a “craving” – for pancakes. Every post-call day for the past month, I have been making them – currently, they are made with Bisquick, almond slivers, strawberries (of course), chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and ground flax seed. Mmmmm…

5. One trip I have to take within my lifetime is to South America or Australia to photograph wild penguins. Penguins have long been a source of intrigue, and I would love to go in search of them someday.

Okay, so now to tag four others: Jamus, Jenna, Catherine, and Martha.
